Just the F.A.Q.'s

Why become an ePeer Leader?
This is the ultimate YOUTH EMPOWERMENT experience! More than 30 million kids and teens use the Internet on a regular basis, making it a natural arena for peer-to-peer communication!  The registered epeer leaders and listmasters are part of a special, voluntary, national cyber community of teens and tweens, empowered to "spread the word" to their subscribing friends, their friend's friends, and so on.  ePeers Leaders receive emails on a weekly basis from www.ePeerVoices.com listserv, to jumpstart award winning, anti-drug projects and activities in their own schools and communities, to receive important factual anti-drug information, tips, self tests, and notification of special upcoming opportunities, competitions and events. The ePeer leaders also link to the National Youth Anti Drug Media Campaign with www.freevibe.com, www.icountadvisors.com , and other appropriate web sites, as well as the My Anti Drug legacy.

How do I register to receive weekly emails?
Print the epeer registration form on the www.ePeerVoices.com web site, fill out the form carefully and have a parent or legal guardian sign it and fax it to (814) 453-4714 at the National Epeer Team Action Fleet headquarters, or mail the form to: Coalition Pathways Inc., 1750 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505

Also,
sign up to become an I-Count Advisor!

Why do I need my parent's permission to
become an epeer leader?
Minors, (persons under 18), need parent or lawful guardian permission to participate in a program on the Internet that involves receiving regular emails.  This is a law that helps to keep minors safe.

What's in it for me?
Most kids DON'T use drugs! You have a voice and you have POWER to get that positive peer message out across the nation! You will receive helpful information by email that will enable you and all of your friends to become a positive, Anti-Drug force in your school and community. You will learn about many exciting opportunities, contests, competitions, projects, activities and events that will help to keep youth drug-free.

What is the My Anti Drug Campaign?
Your "Anti-Drug" is what stands between you and drug use.  Perhaps you never thought about if before, but you have an Anti-Drug.  It is that passion, interest, hobby, etc. that you care about so much, that it keeps you from using drugs. (Family, friends, fishing, art, reading, music, crafts, sports, etc.) "My Anti Drug" is a youth branding project that connects to the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign, which was launched by a bipartisan effort of Congress in 1998 to help kids stay drug-free.

What is an I Count Advisor?
Youth between the ages of  9-18 who register to become an "I-Count Advisor" at www.icountadvisors.com have the opportunity to help teens and tweens stay healthy and make informed decisions by voicing their opinions about programs on web sites, newsletters, questionnaires, and other programs produced by Fleishman-Hillard for the National Youth Anti Drug Media Campaign. This program operates entirely online, so you must have an email address and access to the Net.

How can my parents get involved?
Parents who talk to their kids about drugs, have kids that don't do drugs! Share your epeer emails with parents and teachers and community leaders, and talk about how they could help you and your friends reach your goals, do the project or activity, or one similar in your own school or community! Ask for ways that they can support your efforts! (See the Educators Section for more adult information.)
