Coma and seizures can occur following use of GHB and, when combined with
methamphetamine, there appears to be an increased risk of seizure. Combining use with other drugs such as alcohol can result in nausea and difficulty breathing. GHB may also produce withdrawal effects including insomnia, anxiety, tremors, and sweating. NIDA

What's all this about GHB and date rape?

Since GHB has no odor or color, and because its taste is so subtle, there have been many cases of people slipping it into other people's drinks. GHB will get a person so drugged up that they don't know or remember what they're doing. People slip it into other people's drinks so they can take advantage of them. In this way, GHB and Rohypnol are similar in the way they are used.
